2018 Old Vines Chardonnay
Light yellow hue. Concentrated scents of apricot, papaya, passionfruit, apple chutney, and vanilla bean. Upon aeration, notes of brioche, crème brûlée, caramel, peach, and pear round out the aroma profile. Once on the palate, the flavors focus to stone fruit, caramel, and crème brûlée. The texture is dense, layered, and lively. Incredible length, concentration, and persistence on the finish.

Wente clone own rooted vines planted in 1980. Soils rich in limestone, secondary influence of decomposed granite. Region I, cool foggy mornings, warm days with gentle ocean breezes. Certified Organic vineyard. Hand tended and harvested.
Production Notes
Barrel fermented, aged for 17 months. 50% new French oak from Tonnellerie Remond, balanced with 50% neutral French oak.
